Seems like the competition must have gotten easier this year, or is it the training I did this winter that seems to have had a positive effect, I think it must have been the training.
Set some big goals this winter and one of them is working with the AVA/Counterbalance team, one of most rewarding experiences of my life so far, the act of helping new riders find places in there fitness that they have never gone to before is very entertaining.
Setting the bar higher for myself by teaching others, it realy set me straight and kept me focused, to bad the weather and some illness prevented the perfect execution, but nothing is perfect and all in all its working out OK.
Currently #1 ranked masters rider in Washington, and leading the Washington cup series with a lead that will be impossible to beat (unless I don't score again).
Starting the stage racing season, looks like eight races in all, the big goal is Cascade CC and road natz, with track natz individual pursuit the ultimate goal. Going to do the whole season as a build to nationals with a rest week for every two build weeks, plus a whole week off in the mid season just to keep from burning out.
